Like Easy Listening… But Silent
Experimental backdrops for an imaginary noise band. I was thinking — what if I had my own noise band? I’d construct the videos and projected stage backdrops the same way I construct my noise tracks — clip by clip, layer by layer, manipulation by manipulation, mix by mix… The manipulations are done pretty similarly to the way I do them for my still photography (but with very different subjects), and the clips come from … everywhere … in my video library.
They don’t always work — that’s why they’re experiments — and I still get people asking me where the soundtracks are, but I’ve probably got a few more of these in there somewhere. And that strapline’s actually a little cheeky if you know my personal situation.
